ELIGIBILITY: No restrictions
SERVICE AREA: Sandusky County.
- Telephone and Walk-In Information and Referral – The telephone and walk-in service is manned by staff and trained volunteers who provide information and referrals to the various resources that are available to residents of Sandusky County. The phone line is answered 24-hours per day/7 days per week.
- Resource Directories – The Directory of Community Resources for Sandusky County lists informational descriptions of social service agencies, clubs, organizations, support services, schools, and government agencies. This Directory is available to the public for a minimal cost. Other Directories maintained include the Emergency Services Directory for the Sandusky County Area, Club and Support Group Listings, Sandusky County Senior Services, and the Volunteer Directory.
- Statistical Data – United Way First Call For Help maintains up-to-date statistics on who are using the service, what type of information is requested, etc., along with requests for which there is no service available (unmet needs). This information is available to the community.
- Other Services – United Way First Call For Help acts as the entry point or contacting agency for a variety of other community efforts including: Community Christmas, the Volunteer Committee, the Kinship Navigator Program, and the Sandusky County Cancer Care Fund.
