Fremont, Ohio--The United Way of Sandusky County is sponsoring a campaign kick-off event, Bowling for United Way Dollars, at Plaza Lanes, Fremont, OH on Saturday, October 30. Area residents are invited to support the United Way while enjoying a fun afternoon of bowling, good food, and a variety of arcade games.
A cost of $60 entitles a team to one hour of lane use at either 1:00 p.m. or 2:15 p.m. A cost of $100, includes sponsor recognition at the lane as well. Shoe rental is included in the entry fee. Participants are encouraged to come hungry and prepared to enjoy bumper bowling (for children 9 and under) as well as mini-golf. Plaza Lanes is donating a percentage of food sales as well as revenue from miniature golf to the United Way's campaign.
The United Way plays an important role in helping people whose lives are impacted by one or more of its member agencies. The United Way's 2010 campaign goal is $850,000, and reaching that goal will allow Member Agencies to continue to provide much needed services to those in the community who require assistance. Last year, United Way donations directly assisted approximately 52% of Sandusky County residents.
