United Way provides school supplies to 850 Students

FREMONT – United Way school supply kits are being distributed to public and parochial schools in the Fremont, Clyde-Green Springs, Gibsonburg, Bellevue and Lakota school districts.

The funding comes from money collected in the annual United Way campaign. Both CVS and Wal-Mart assisted by allowing United Way to purchase some supplies at special prices. Green Bay Packaging donated boxes to transport the supply kits. Also Wendt-Key Team Realty once again donated the use of their moving van to transport supplies.

Parents who would like to request a supply kit for their children should contact the office of the school that child attends. The kits contain folders, notebooks, a box of tissues, a box of plastic bags, wet wipes, markers, colored pencils, crayons, a pair of scissors, a bottle of liquid glue, pencils, highlighters, glue sticks and erasers.

United Way staff and volunteers packed the kits Aug. 15 and they have been distributed to the schools this week.
